Swanvale Park is a 0.8ha amenity grassed open area that includes an informal football pitch and is bordered by a stream and a mix of roads, residential, commercial, and woodland areas. The project is one of a series of interventions - “Green Infrastructure for Growth 2” - designed to enhance green infrastructure in existing urban areas in Cornwall. The policy framework within which the individual projects sit, Making Space for Nature, has been accredited by Building with Nature and the project aims to increase urban biodiversity, improve access to and contact with nature, and engage local communities.
